Chapter 3–Contaminants Contaminants may originate outdoors or indoors and often follow a certain airflow path.

Chapter 3–Contaminants Asbestos is a mineral fiber that has been used commonly in a variety of building construction materials including pipe insulation, ceiling tiles, and building fireproofing.

Chapter 3–Contaminants Lead can be found in common sources such as drinking water, air, and soil. However, in sources such as old paint and lead pipes, there is a larger risk of lead becoming a harmful pollutant.
