What is the difference between a GLOBE and the EARTH?
A globe is a model of Earth. The Earth is huge and is in space while a globe can be held in your hands.

41. How did the COMPASS ROSE get its name?
The original compass had 32 points on it. A perfect rose has 32 petals. So, the compass on a map was named a compass rose.
What are the CARDINAL DIRECTIONS?
North, South, East, West
What are the INTERMEDIATE DIRECTIONS?
Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, Southeast
