Renewable energy Is energy generated from natural resources: wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat. In 2006, about 18% of global final energy consumption came from renewables, with 13% coming from traditional biomass, which is mainly used for heating, and 3% from hydroelectricity. New renewables accounted for another 2.4% and are growing very rapidly.

Wind power Is the energy from the wind, using the kinetic energy generated by air currents. Has been used since antiquity to move ships powered by sail or power machinery of mills to move their blades.

Hydropower Is due to the forces between the moon, Earth and the Sun, causing the tidies, the difference in average height of the seas as the relative position between these three stars.

Solar energy Is the source of most other forms of energy on Earth. Each year brings sunlight to the earth the energy equivalent to several thousand times the amount of energy consumed by humanity. Picking up properly the solar radiation, can be transformed into other forms of energy as heat or electricity using solar panels.

Biomass Is a renewable energy source, is a biological material derived from living, or recently living organisms, such has wood, waste, and alcohol fuels. Biomass is commonly plan matter growun to generate electricity or produce heat.

Geothermal energy Can be obtained by man trough the use of heat inside the Earth. Part of the Earth’s internal heat (5.000 ºC) reaches the earth’s crust. In some areas of the planet, near the surface, groundwater may reach boiling point and serve to drive electric turbines or to heat.

And you can use the renewable energy for improve life on Earth
