Tree Pruning by External Contractor Most tree pruning is undertaken by a contractor at both of the metropolitan campuses. These tree pruning's are mulched by the contractor on-site and used in ECU gardens. General Greenwaste from Campus Operations (Leaves, branches and other plant material) Joondalup –This general greenwaste is temporarily stockpiled until there is enough to be mulched and a contractor is brought on-site to mulch this waste. –Weeds and pine needles are stockpiled and taken off site by a contractor to a greenwaste recycling facility. Mt Lawley –All general greenwaste is stockpiled and is removed by a contractor and taken to a greenwaste recycling facility. South West –All general waste is looked after by a contractor and is taken off-site to a greenwaste recycling facility.
