The six states of the rocky mountain region: ◦ The 6 states in the rocky mountain region are Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado.

Lets go visit Idaho

IDAHO ◦ Lets go and visit the first state listed IDAHO! Idaho has many things that you can do like fairs and festivals. They also have sports like Big Nasty Hill Climb. ◦ It also has cool places nearby to stay at like the Wood River Inn, the Alpine River Inn. Those are very good places to stay at if you don’t have a house. ◦ The animal symbols for Idaho are the Mountain Bluebird, the Appaloosa( the horse),and the Cutthroat Trout. ◦ Some sources of revenue in Idaho are individual income tax and sales tax

Montana ◦ Montana looks very large. You wont believe how many rivers and points it has. Lets take a look. ◦ The major rivers of Montana are Yellowstone river, Mississippi river, and Clark Fork River. ◦ The highest point Montana has is granite park with a high of 12,799 feet. The lowest point is the Kootenai River with a low of 1,800 feet. ◦ Some of the animal symbols are the western Meadowlark bird, and the grizzly bear. ◦ The main source of revenue in Montana is Malwarebytes Security.

Wyoming ◦ Some of the major lakes that are in Wyoming are Glendo Reservoir, Boysen Reservoir. Alcova Reservoir and Keyhole Reservoir. ◦ The highest point in Wyoming is the Gannett Peak with a high of 13,804 feet. The lowest peek is Belle Fourche River witch is 3,099 feet. ◦ Some bordering states of Wyoming are Colorado, Montana Nebraska, South Dakota, and Utah.

Nevada ◦ Nevada has 16 counties plus 1 independent city. ◦ The state nickname is silver state, or sagebrush state. ◦ The state song is Home Means Nevada ◦ Some of the plant symbols in Nevada are the sagebrush flower, the Indian Ricegrass, and the single leaf pinon and bristlecone pine.

Utah ◦ The state capital for Utah is Salt Lake City. ◦ The major rivers are Colorado River, and Green River. ◦ the state song is Utah, we love thee. ◦ Some earth symbols are Coal as the state rock, Copper as the state mineral, and Topaz as the state gem.

Colorado ◦ The population of Colorado is 5,268,367 ◦ Some major industries of Colorado are agriculture (wheat, cattle, sheep), and tourism (especially skiers). ◦ Colorado has 64 counties ◦ The largest city Denver (state capital)

The major bodies of water: ◦ There are many rivers that flow from the Rocky Mountains. A few examples are the Arkansas River, Colombia River, Missouri and Rio Grande to name a few. ◦ Eventually these rivers make there way to three major bodies of water. ◦ The three bodies of water are the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean and the Arctic Ocean.
