UNCLASSIFIED Current Use of Geostationary Data l Regional Centers collect real-time downlink l GOES-E, GOES-W, GOES-9, METEOSAT-5, and METEOSAT-7 l Imagery is looped to derive mesoscale “weather” l Used in conjunction with other data to produce: l Annotated Imagery Products l Super Rapid Scan Ops l Thunderstorm evolution l Regional Centers collect real-time downlink l GOES-E, GOES-W, GOES-9, METEOSAT-5, and METEOSAT-7 l Imagery is looped to derive mesoscale “weather” l Used in conjunction with other data to produce: l Annotated Imagery Products l Super Rapid Scan Ops l Thunderstorm evolution
