SPECHT ELEMENTARY Agendas Check daily for: –assignments –missing work –behavior marks –comments from teachers Sign daily and include your comments

SPECHT ELEMENTARY Grading Class work/daily work counts as 40% and cannot be redone. Tests count as 40%. Tests with a grade less than 70 can be corrected or taken again for a grade of 70. Homework counts as 5% and cannot be redone. Quizzes, Curriculum Assessments, and writing count as 15% Late work: 1 day late will receive up to an 80%, 2 days up to a 60%, after 2 days no credit will be given.

SPECHT ELEMENTARY Behavior Based on Respect, Responsibility, Self Control, No Bullying Behavior Reported in the agenda which must be signed by parent. If a behavior mark is received the student will lose the privilege of “Fun Friday.”

SPECHT ELEMENTARY Snacks The students will be allowed to eat snack around 9:00am. We asked that they bring a healthy snack. (No candy.) Please no fruit cups, jello, pudding, etc. They tend to be messy. Water only.

SPECHT ELEMENTARY Allergies Please see the nurse if your child has a food allergy or a medical condition.

SPECHT ELEMENTARY Cell Phones Cell phones are to be kept in the student’s backpack. Cell phones must be TURNED OFF, not just on vibrate. Students will be given one warning about their phone. After the warning the phone will be picked up by the teacher and the parent will have to come and get it back.

SPECHT ELEMENTARY Absences/Tardies School begins at 7:45 and ends at 2:45 Tardies are recorded after 7:45 Absences are counted as unexcused without a parent or doctor note. The note MUST be received within 2 days of the absence or the absence will be counted as unexcused.

SPECHT ELEMENTARY Volunteering Must fill out a volunteer background check. If you filled one out last year, you must do it again.

SPECHT ELEMENTARY Q: What STAAR Tests will my child be taking? A: Math, Reading, and Science Q: Do they have to pass all three to go to 6 th grade? A: They must pass Reading and Math. They will be given 3 attempts to pass. FAQ
