ApplicationDescription QuoVadis Measurement systems along the track obtaining information about passing trains (e.g. weight, speed, number of axes, wheel quality). Obtained data is sent to a server via GPRS. POSS Quality monitoring of railway switches (the quality of a switch is determined by sending a current through it and monitor the electrical behaviour). Obtained data is locally gathered and sent to a server via GPRS. HSM Pilot application about information services for drivers. Drivers get visual information via GPRS on a PDA about their environment when driving a train (e.g. disturbances, graphic overview of other trains in the neighbourhood, connecting trains) Webmail ProRail Mobile access of railway personnel to ProRail web mail (Outlook Web Access) with a laptop Status Operational Implementation finalized in Q Passengers and operational applications in Netherlands
