Winter Event Snow will begin this evening in the Oklahoma Panhandle, northern Texas Panhandle. Southern Texas Panhandle not likely to see snow until after midnight, if then. Freezing drizzle or freezing fog possible tonight into tomorrow morning. Northerly winds 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts behind the cold front through tomorrow morning – Patchy blowing snow possible for areas that have snow on the ground – Lowest wind chill values tomorrow morning -5 to 5 degrees
Confidence Timing and Track – High Probability of measureable precipitation – Moderate – Higher confidence in the north – Low confidence in the south Precipitation Type - High Snow – High Freezing Drizzle/Freezing Fog – High in the southern TX Panhandle Windy conditions– High (Northerly winds 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts) Snowfall amounts – High Blowing snow - Low – Only will be possible if windy conditions continue through the night in locations with some snow accumulation
