Shroder High School is known for our community service. Although it is a requirment for us to have 50 hours of Community Service we take the initiative to go above and beyond that standard. Here at shroder we do a lot of different things such as we volunteer at Starfire and Bobby Fairfax. We also do things in school that helps us realize how others feel such as Shantytown.

The purpose was to give us the opportunity to step outside of ourselves and see how it is like to be homeless. We made our boxes to stay in for shelter, and our teacher Mr.rush gave us a dollar to eat because if you are homeless that’s how much people would give. Overall it was a fun excperince and it made me feel really grateful for what I have.

 Bobby Fairfax is a school for people with disabilities.It is a school for grades k-12 who can’t be inside of aregular class because of their disability, and atBobby Fairfax they know how to handle certainthings that disabilities kids do.

Starfire is a like a four year college for people with disabilities. It helps them be able to want more for themselves, and while being there at starfire it helps them become what they want to be.
