School specific engagement planning What are we asking of this group? – Review the school specific asks and next steps – Review toolkit of resources to help you initiate and plan – Review how the core committee will support school specific planning

Planning Process The proposal document “Celebrating 50 years” is the core grounding document for the planning of the 50th Anniversary Theme Celebrations. This is your reference for internal planning. Web content and collateral is currently being developed. Internal and External communications plans currently being developed

Overview of Celebrations

School Specific Engagement Planning The core committee is asking school chairs to engage with their departments in the development and planning of school specific 50 th anniversary celebrations or initiatives that are unique to that specific study area ( i.e. forestry, nursing, digital arts, business) There are funds available (amount pending fiscal planning/final budget review April 2016), fall 2015 will see the rollout of the process to initiate these proposals with your schools as needed The core committee planning will augment and support promotion and communications of these initiatives through an integrated approach to the overall 50th Anniversary Theme Celebrations e.pdf e.pdf

Planning Process for Schools Core committee visits to school department meetings (and or specific classrooms as needed) Review “Briefing Document/Funding Request” for feedback prior to initialization Overview of timeframes (approx) : engagement is ongoing from now until April 2017, start conversations now to drive momentum into the 50 th year Proposal phase :Oct 2015-Jan 2016 Initiatives confirmed by : Feb 2016 Budget allocation: April 2016 Initiatives occur: Sept 2016-April 2017 Resources for schools – myselkirk portal (internal planning) coming soon
