Biome Regions that have distinctive climates and organisms and that contain many separate but similar ecosystems.
What are biomes? Biomes are regions of the world with similar climate, animals, and plants.

Taiga Biome Research By Michael Ramsey

Taiga Geography and climate location= North America and the arctic circle. Description= stretches across Canada, Europe, and Asia. Soil type= frozen throughout spring, fall, and, winter. Precipitation= 35 to 100 cm of snow Temperature range= -90 to 90 degrees. Climate=breezy summers and harsh winters Windows2universe.org

Taiga Biodiversity Plant species=lichens, moss, oak trees, birch trees, evergreen trees, willow trees, pine trees, alder, spruce trees, firs. Animal species= Moose, lynx, shrews, bears, foxes, wolves, deer, squirrels, moles, jarvs, and elk. Taiga.net

Taiga Adaptations Needed for Survival Shrubs have long roots to absorb groundwater since the water is mainly frozen all year. Bears have thick fur that keeps them warm and sharp claws and teeth for hunting and self defense.

Taiga Interactions of Biotic and Abiotic biotic=deep roots on the trees and other plants hold soil intact and suck up ground water. Abiotic= dead plants and animals are absorbed into the ground and used as nutrients.

What is Biodiversity? Biodiversity is the variety of life. It can be studied on many levels. At the highest level, you can look at all the species on the entire earth.

How does biodiversity contribute to the sustainability of an ecosystem? The biodiversity of an ecosystem depends on limiting factors that sustain a population.
