Hello Everyone! Welcome to Collier Computer Lab Today is Tuesday. Again, we will learn how to type today. I hope that you enjoy practicing your typing websites. I understand that typing can be very boring, BUT By the state of Arizona standard, you have to type at least 25 words a minute without error in middle school. Again, the last 10 minutes of the day is for MYD. The next few slides will be read out loud to you. Please hold your questions until they are done. Any questions? Thanks.

Classroom Expectation

Behaviors to get you to step 1 and adjusting your points (bothering others)  Talking while I am teaching / giving directions  Talking while another student is  Talking while you should be working  Fooling around  Calling out  Disrespect  Making noises  Not keeping hands / feet to yourself  Not coming into class quietly  Not walking safely

Behaviors to adjust your points (only hurting yourself)  Not prepared – sharpened pencil, paper, binder, agenda,  Not on task  Out of seat  Not doing class work  Not giving best effort  Playing with objects  Not being in points position  Dishonesty

At 10 minutes left in class I will tell you the following: "It's time to clear your desk and get ready for points." “At this time, I want you to put your keyboard on top of your computer. I want you to put your headphone to the left of your computer. Your mouse should be on the right side.” "Think about your behavior these past 30 minutes. Did you do what was expected the best you could and earn all the points in the period? Starting with Mr. Hai. I earned…" Please remember!!! The quicker I call points and concerns the more time you will have for free time. Any Questions?

In today's assignment: 1.Content Objective: students are to develop an ability to: Use the correct typing technique. Key words quickly and accurately. Demonstrate operational skills in using the computer. Be able to key accurately at a rate of 35 Words Per Minute (WPM). 2.Language Objective: To assess vocabulary related to technology. At this time, I will review this week vocabulary words. We will have a multiple choice quiz this Thursday. Again, you are expected to be quiet in the lab. If you decide to choose steps. You can go to sit on a chair facing the wall (you should see MYD poster on the wall). Please remember! Points for classroom participation are being recorded and adjusted at all time. Any questions!
