New User Default Settings in Version 4.0 In Version 4.0, SSIS Worker and SSIS Fiscal are combined into one executable. This means both fiscal staff and social work staff use the same desk top icon to launch the application. But there is different functionality in SSIS Fiscal than SSIS Worker. In order to determine what functionality is assigned to a particular user, three new functions were created: Fiscal Default Activities, Worker Default Activities and XP Options. These functions are available to assign to a user’s role in Security Admin. This document explains how these functions work and provides a visual representation of what users see when these functions are assigned to their role. First, there are some general assumptions that apply to all these functions. When assigned to a user’s role these functions control: - the look of the application that the user sees. - application toolbar buttons and menu choices available to the user. - the appearance and menus for groups of users, not for individual based on the preferences of that user. Fiscal Default Activities Function SSIS Fiscal Main Menu When assigned to a role, the Fiscal Default Activities function changes the: Toolbar buttons that display. From left to right they are: Log On Log Off Open Caseload List (optional, based on having the assigned function of Access Case) Service Arrangement Search Payment Search Find Person Find Business Organization Help. View menu options available ( when XP Options is added as a role) are: Toolbar Action Buttons – turning this off allows the user to view more of the detail panel Status Bar – turning this off allows the user to view more of the detail panel Task Panel – displays the Task Panel Tree Settings – changes some functionality within the tree Tree Style – changes the look of the tree. Searches/Logs menu options available. The menu items available include only the functions of the application that are apply to a user who has fiscal responsibilities. Worker Default Activities Function SSIS Worker Main Menu When assigned to a role, the Worker Default Activities function changes the: Toolbar buttons that display. When assigned to a user’s role, the XP Options function allows the user who also has Fiscal Default Activities assigned to their role to display or not display the: - Toolbar – the main application toolbar - Action button – the Action button at the bottom of screens. This does not apply to the Select button when it replaces the Action button on screens, e.g., adding a business organization to a service arrangement. - Status bar – the bar located at the bottom of the main application screen. Users with Worker Default Activities assigned to their role do not have access to the above display options even if they also have XP Options in their role. Both Fiscal and Worker users can choose to display or not display the Task Panel. The Task Panel provides a method of quick navigation to actions regularly taken by users. Users can determine if they want to view the: - Treeveiw toolbar icons in large or small size - Bread crumbing – provides a written representation of the path/folders that have been selected - Path preview – displays only the immediate, main folder and sub-folder location of a user when the treeview has a scroll bar and multiple folders expanded. Business Organization Search Results – XP List and Bread Crumb Enabled View County Detail with Tree View and Path Preview Enabled

XP Options Function – Tree Style XP List When assigned to a user’s role, the XP Options function allows changes to the treeview style. Users can determine which view they want to use, e.g., XP List, Simple List or two different tree views (Legacy Tree View – the current treeview format in SSIS Worker or Tree View – the treeview in an XP format).
