Presentation transcript:

Content of the final exam 1. Many questions will reference the 2 screens of images in this presentation 2. Most questions will refer to: a. Patient position b. Angle and direction of the CR c. What the view is designed to demonstrate d. Pathology associated with the examination 3. Some questions will refer to: a. Contrast media and contrast media reactions b. Specifics of the examination (i.e., criteria for a good AC BaE, cut levels for kidney tomos.) c. Patient care & instructions (i.e., force fluids after Ba exam, bowel preps)

The practicals RDSC 211 and 233 practicals will be combined. The second 233 practical will be the following 7 positions for an AC BaE routine AP, LAO, RAO, Axial Oblique, Rt lateral, Rt lateral decub, Lt lateral decub. This routine will be done for time. To not loose points you must. A. Make the time limit 3 minutes and 30 seconds B. Be reasonably close on centering (all films but the axial oblique are 14x17. The axial oblique is 14x14. The LAO should be positioned 3-4 inches above the crest while the RAO is to the crest). C. Have the correct position reasonably close to the correct obliquity D. Collimate in the correct direction (14x17 vs. 17x14) E. Center tube to bucky tray. F. Use the correct SID To change films you need only say “change film” To expose say “beep.” You will not be stopped for any reason, so keep on truckin’ You will be given the grading sheet when we do the BaE unit
