Brigham and Women’s Hospital GCRC – BIRN Collaboration Planning August Two active GCRC protocols were selected to be part of the initial collaboration with the BIRN. Kick off meeting with investigators in September Many communications with the two investigator teams

Problems facing our GCRC Investigators with MRI data In the protocol on Alzheimer’s patients 4 key problems were raised How do you compare images across the two facilities (MGH and BWH) which have difference scanners. How to do calibrations File format issues Need a way to perform a Test ReTest.

Problems facing our GCRC Investigators with MRI data In the second protocol in which there are Cardiac MRI’s two items were discussed The need for visualization and measurement tools How to relate the BIRN fMRI neuro-imaging work to the cardiac system.
