Paris Tourist Attractions
Paris Paris, the capital of France, has an annual 30 million foreign visitors, and so is the most visited city in the world. Some of the sights in Paris include monuments and architecture. There are also more modern attractions such as Disneyland Paris
1. The Louvre The Louvre contains more than 380,000 objects and displays 35,000 works of art in eight curatorial departments It is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the 1st arrondissement (district). If you are under 18, admission to the Louvre is free. If not, admission fees range from €12 to €16
2. The Arc de Triomphe The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It stands 50 metres (164 ft) in height, 45 m (148 ft) wide and 22 m (72 ft) deep The Arc de Triomphe translates to "Triumphal Arch“ and it honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars.
3. Notre Dame de Paris The Notre-Dame de Paris, is one of the largest cathedrals in Paris. The cathedral is considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture and among the largest and most well- known church buildings in the world. It took over 100 years for it to be completely built.
4. The Eiffel Tower The tower received its 250 millionth visitor in 2010 There is between 1665 to 1710 steps all the way to the top depending on which side you try to climb Approximately 6.8,million people visit The Eiffel Tower a year and it is easily the most recognisable structure in Paris.
