Parts of a Plant                            petals seeds leaves stem roots

Roots The roots help provide support by anchoring the plant and absorbing water and nutrients needed for growth.

Stem Stems carry water and nutrients taken up by the roots to the leaves. Stems provide support for the plant.

Leaves Leaves are the food making factories of green plants.

Flowers Flowers help in making seeds.

Seeds Every seed is a tiny plant with leaves, stems, and root parts.
