Sculpture has been an important art form since the beginning of time.
Sculpture: a three dimensional expression of an idea
Elements of Art: the building blocks of any artwork
Form: Three dimensional shapes
Line: Any extension of a point; long and/or thinner pieces or edges
Texture: The way an object’s surface feels to the touch
Space: How the parts or the whole sculpture seem to ‘fit’ into a specific place.
Color
Shape: an area closed of by a line or edge
Geometric Shape: angular, mathematical Organic: soft, rounded, imperfect, natural
Negative Shapes: Areas closed off by a form; the empty space surrounding an object
Value: how light or dark something is
Scale: How large or small something is
