FAIRY TALE ELEMENTS

Fairy Tales: Told from one person to another – stories that were spoken. (oral tradition)

Most fairy tales begin with: “Once upon a time…” OR “Long ago…”

The setting is a place far away.

There is a brave and good main character.

There is a bad character.

There is magic!

There is often the number 3 or 7 in the story.

The good character solves the problem.

There is a happy ending. … And they lived happily ever after!

Review of Fairytale Features: Do NOT need to include fairies. Do NOT need to include fairies. Include fantasy, supernatural or make-believe aspects.
