Welcome to KMS Math Parent Night 2015

The Goal tonight is to have parents develop an understanding of the Kerman Middle School curriculum and practices to help their student(s) be successful in math.

Use appropriate tools strategically. Reason abstractly and quantitatively. Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. Attend to precision.

Students can review any part of any lesson anytime. The Key Concept is the main point of the lesson. Each Part has the examples with solution details.

Classes

Look for Topic 1 Review Homework

“Help Me Solve This” guides students with step by step instructions and show them the correct set-up they should use to start the problems.

“View an Example” shows each step and what the answer is to a similar example.

“Video” shows them a step by step video of a tutor explaining a similar problem.

Calculator

Students get instant feedback and can do similar exercises until the master the problem.

Topic Tests are similar in the format of the review. Teachers customize these so they are not too long and can be done in one class period or block.
