SC DOT installed almost 500 miles of low tension cable on Interstate facilities since 2001 Back in 2006 SC DOT reported the system had 10,000 hits, or "saves," since the program began South Carolina - Cable Median Barrier

Georgia DOT reports that effort to bring their off-system rural roads results in large reductions on ROR crash numbers Striping (Edge and CL) Upgraded Signing and Adding Raised Pavement Markings Systemic use of a combination of low cost measures “gets the job done”

Crash Data and Data Analysis Agencies adept at processing crash data are better able to allocated resources Issues with: Ownership Data Quality Use of automated inputs Accuracy of the accident report Precise crash location Ease of data queries and timeliness of reports
