Habitat Chickasaws lived in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Missouri. Most of the Chickasaw Indians had to move to Oklahoma because they were forced to.

Homes The Chickasaw homes are River Cain homes. They are Wattle and daub houses. They barely had any homes because they were always on the move.

Clothing They had breech cloths with leggings that covered their legs.

Food Chickasaw men did most of the hunting for deer and wild turkey. The women did all of the farming for different fruits and vegetables.

Customs There are lots of Chickasaw legends and fairy tales. Story telling was very important for this tribe and the people. Pottery has different designs and shapes.

Tools and Weapons There tools are bows and arrows for fishing and they used spears during war.

Art The Chickasaw Indians made River Cane baskets, wood carvings, pottery and when they moved to Oklahoma they did not have resources they needed so they did bead work instead.

Interesting Facts The Chickasaws traded that could also be called bartering. They traded with the southeast Native Americans.
