Physical Change A change that begins and ends with the same type of matter.

There are 3 kinds of physical changes: 1. A change in size or shape 2. A change in position or texture 3. A change in state

Change in size or shape: Change in size

Change in position or texture Change in position Change in texture

Change of state

To change from a solid, to a liquid, to a gas, add heat.

To change from a gas to a liquid, to a solid, take away heat.

Chemical Changes A chemical Change that produces new matter with different properties from the original matter

An example of a chemical change. Carbon + Oxygen + Hydrogen = Sugar Sodium + Chorine =Salt Oxygen +Iron = Rust

Tarnish is an annoying chemical change

Name a beneficial chemical change.

Rust is a harmful chemical change.
