Desktop Publisher Usually making from $20, ,000 a year, the main job of a desktop publisher is to meet with clients and use computer software to arrange text and graphics for appealing printed products. Desktop publishing jobs can be found in ad firms, large companies, printing plants, other publishers, & some are self-employed.

This job requires at least a high school and college degree plus skills in Internet apps and design programs. Desktop publishers must also have people skills and have artistic ability. Education Requirements for Desktop Publishers

Project Manager Project managers put together the activities of professionals involved in making computer programs. Part of the job includes assigning tasks to team members, estimate project lengths, and oversee how the work is done. Some project managers can make up to $120,000 annually. Insurance companies, accounting firms and banks hire project managers.

This job requires a high school degree and at least a 2-year college degree. Plus project managers must be able to motivate others, solve problems, and stay organized.
