Technology in CPS & College Anita Shurina Gerard Julia & Arthur

Introduction Today we will be talking to you about how different schools use technology.

Kindergarden-3 rd Grade Students will be introduced to the PC Lab or Laptop carts. The kids will learn how to use the shortcut To access the program used. They will use a combination of programs to learn Keyboard readiness Students will also focus on letter recognition and location on the keyboard. Reading and Math: Students will focus on counting, sequencing, alphabet order, letter sounds and patterns.

Concepts of Multimedia St will students will be introduced to concepts of multimedia. They will learn how to use menus for tools and colors. Students will work on opening &new form files. The kids will learn the basic paint and color programs and how to save the to a folder. The students will also learn how to look up books in the schools library.

Computer literacy is as important as any other “basic skill” Since computer use continues to increase in society. The use of computers in education opens a new area of knowledge. It offers a tool that has the capacity to change some of the existing educational methods

High School students use computers to do work like projects, HW, and other special projects. Basically computers are require in High Schools because it a good way to get students prepared for college. In Al Raby High School students goes to the computer labs, library, and even to other teachers rooms to use the computers. Al Raby

Conclusion We learned that in different CPS schools and colleges use technology differently. In college you are able to go to any website that you want and in CPS schools you are being watched and don’t have as much freedom.
