GMO Research Genetically Modified Organisms By: Gracie, Celeste, & Andriana

Intro GMO’s stand for genetically modified organisms. Over 80% of our food contains GMOs, and that’s just in the USA!!!!

In Mice and Rodents Female mice that ate GM corn for a long period of time produced babies that were either smaller or died, males that were fed the same corn had experienced tectulatular issues. Control: X<10% Gm-soy: X<50% non-gm soy: X</=10%

Mice that have been fed GM corn: Would you take the risk? Mouse tumors

Gmo’s false promises? GMO industries have promised but failed, none of the GMO’s on the marked offer increased yield, drought tolerance, enhanced nutrition, or any other consumer benefits. Also some industries don’t label the GMO’s use in the product, and once ‘low-risk’ idioms become ‘high-risk’ because the information was not given.

GMO Corn V.S. Non- GMO Corn

Most GMOs are bad but with GMOs such as Golden Rice the benefits out-weigh the doubts. Golden Rice was made to prevent a vitamin-A deficiency. Golden Rice

Positives? Most people are trying to get rid of GMO’s (out of realization that they’re dangerous). Still industries produce GM plants and animals, and sell them on the market. Some GM idioms are never even stated to be GM on the label so buyers may not know.
