Plant Conditions Investigation

What are we trying to find out?

Q How is a plant affected if…… Does a plant need…. What would happen to a plant if….

Method We have six plants, one of which is the ‘control’ plant, which will be watered with 40ml. of water per day and left in the greenhouse. Each of the other plants will have one variable changed and we will observe the effects of these changes over a one week period.

What Resources/Materials/ Equipment will we need?

E Plant, Syringe, Pot, Water,

Which variables will we keep constant?

We will keep the following variables constant:

Which variable will we change?

We will change…..

What will we measure (and how) ?

We will measure…..

How will we record our results?

We will record our results….

Prediction I think that….

Over To You!! Plan your Plant investigation using the following pointers: What is your question? Which variables will you change? Which variable will you keep constant? What will you measure? What resources do you need?

Remember!! Make a prediction before you begin!! Record your observations/results carefully.
