Schedule Committee Process ●Two Years (two committees) ●Dr. Rettig Visit December 2013 ●Committee of 10 teachers/Administration ●Bill Holko, consultant ●Research (collected schedules, contacted other educators, visited schools)

Priority Personalized Learning Time for Intervention Giving students access to their teachers Quality Enrichment

The Schedule for Mon, Weds, Fri =(8) 51 min periods Almost identical to current schedule which is (8) 50 min periods) Tues, Thurs = (8) 46 min periods with the addition of a 38 minute period for personalized student learning through intervention and enrichment.

Intervention/Enrichment at CFHS ●Intervention o Math, Reading, Organization, Test Prep ●Enrichment Offerings o Allow students to explore interests without additional pressure of grades and tests o Robotics, author study, guest speakers, SADD, Science Olympiad work, TED talk discussions ●Supporting Success in Courses o Allow students to access teachers for help

Intervention/Enrichment at CFMS The “WIN” Period ●All CFMS students will have a W.I.N. period (What I Need) period twice a week. ●Similar to the High School, the Middle School model is: ○Tuesdays=Intervention & Office Hours ○Thursdays=Enrichment for ALL students
