Critical Race Theory Looks at how race is depicted in art.

Critical Race Theory How are different cultures depicted in your novel? Are some races and cultures shown as superior or inferior? Does the author criticize or condone this? How does the text convey the experiences of victims of racism?

Marxist Theory Examines social class, economics, and power in literature.

His ideas Oppression of the lower class The Superstructure A system where one social class controls all the other classes through law, education, media, religion, etc. Socialism: “Everyone owns everything.”
