FreeMind is a free mind mapping aplication written in java. FreeMind is licensed under the GNU General Public License.  It provides extensive export capabilities.  It runs on microsoft windows, Linux and Mac OS X.  As with other mapping software packages, FreeMind allows the user to edit a hierarchcal set of ideas around central concept.  Essay writing and brainstorming, using colors to show which essays are open, completed, not yet started etc.  Keeping track of projects, including subtasks, state of subtasks and time recording FREEMIND

Toodledo...is a very usefull aplication helping you to create your to-do list in easy way. You can get Toodledo on your mobile phone, in your , on your calendar, in your RSS reader, via IM, and integrated directly into your web browser.
