WHO AM I BINGO! Take a card. Find someone in the class you can put in each box. First to fill in all of the boxes wins!

WHAT ARE WE DOING THIS TERM? Our topic is called ‘Who Am I?’. We are going to be learning all about ourselves!! We will be thinking about our hobbies, our families, our friends and everything in between! What can you tell me about you?

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN IN THIS TOPIC?

 All about the book, “10 Things I Can Do to Help My World”.  To discuss what we like and dislike about a book.  How to practise our sentences before we write them.  Talk about how the book is like our lives.  Listen to other people’s opinion on the ideas we are discussing.  Use drama to explore ideas in a text.  Write a non-fiction piece of text.  Check our work carefully. In Literacy, we will be learning:

- In Numeracy, we will be learning to:  Use different objects to count to 100.  Understand what number bonds are and how to use them.  Identify what makes 2D shapes different from each other.  Explore different ways of adding and taking away.

In Science, our topic is: Ourselves! We will be:  Exploring different parts of our bodies.  Understanding how we feel and why we feel like this.  Thinking about how to keep ourselves healthy and clean.  Discussing what we all eat.

In IPC, our topic is: All About Me! We will be:  Thinking about the members of our family.  Exploring what we like to do in our spare time.  Considering how we feel and why we feel this way.  Thinking about where we live and the history of our area.

In Art, we will be:  Focusing on how to hold and use our pencils properly.  Exploring what a primary colour is.  Discovering the use of the colour wheel.  Exploring the work of Piet Mondrian and creating our own work.

In Music, we will be:  Explore different types of music from around the world.  Use our best singing voices to perform songs from around the world.  Become familiar with a range of different instruments.
