DOES MATTER REALLY MATER?

Problem/Question Which one will boil first? Water Milk Orange Juice

Hypothesis We think that water will boil faster then OJ (Orange Juice) and Milk because Milk and OJ are heavier and thicker then water.

Variables Independent-testing types of liquid Dependent-measuring time it takes to boil Control-keep the same amount of liquid, temp, container

MATERIALS Hot plate, tin foil plate, thermometer, beaker and a tong Orange juice, milk, water Baking gloves, safety goggles Stop watch or iPad clock

Procedure We poured our OJ, milk, water into small, glass beakers, measuring up to 175 ml. Then we turned the hot plate on high and put the drinks on it. Then we measured temperatures at different times during the experiment.

THE TIME IT TOOK It took 22:40 for the milk to boil. It took 23:51 for the water to boil. It took the OJ 23:27 to boil.

OBSERVATION!

Drinks Time to Boil Amount of Liquid Temp. Water23:51 min.175 ml.High Milk22:40 min.175 ml.High Orange Juice 23:27 min.175 ml.High

CONCLUSION For our experiment

This is our conclusion!
