Other Section Activities 14 March: School to World career fair at the Albuquerque Convention Center. We had exhibits showing videos of rocket flights, along with two flight simulators. During the fair, we spoke to middle school students about what is like to be an aerospace engineer. Six section members participated throughout the day. 20 March: Central New Mexico Science and Engineering Research Challenge (Science Fair). Section members judge science, engineering, and mathematics categories. Four award recipients were selected, each winner receives a $200 Savings Bond. Currently reviewing Section Scholarship applications. Section solicits applications from the universities within our section boundaries, UNM, NM Tech, and Highlands. This year the winner will receive a $2000 scholarship. Section Elections: Nominations for open positions are being accepted and the ballot is being prepared. 8/15 positions filled, having some difficulty getting nominations/volunteers for open positions 3
