Around The World in 6 Minutes Final Project Presentations: December 9, points

Objective Pick a country and put together a newscast or a documentary using i- movie. You will cover the following issues: 1.National and Current Issues 1.Tourism and Food 1.Weather and History 1.Sports / National Icons 2.Environmental Issues 1.2 Commercials

Procedure Get into a group of 2 to 4, decide who will be assigned to what area. 1.Producer: oversees the Broadcast, organizes, camera man or woman and puts the finishing touches on the project. In charge of the i-movie and leader of the project

Procedure 1.Director of National and Current Issues (What is going on now, who is in power, are they at war, any concerning issues with the country) 2.Director of Tourism and Food (Discuss sites to see and bring in one traditional dish for the class) 3.Director of Weather and Major Historical Events (Disasters that took place) 4.Director Sports (National Sport, Recreational Activities) 5.Director of Environmental Issues 6.Director of National Heroes or Icons

Procedure Collect information, pictures, music, and video over your topic (It would wise to save everything in a folder) Record your newscast on camera (all laptops have a built in camcorder) and download the newscast to i-Movie. The camera must be a digital camcorder and have the ability to hook up to a firer wire. I can help transfer video if needed. In i-Movie you will cut film, apply pictures, add text, and incorporate music to the final product.

Directions The broadcast will not exceed 10 minutes and not less than 6 minutes. To help your time commitment you must incorporate at least 2 commercials. The commercials must be school appropriate and contain information about the country or a product sold by that country. Only one country can be used per class.

Directions This is an out of class project, you will be allowed to work on this during free time but the majority will come from out of class. Once a week I will ask you to break into your group to evaluate were you are at. You will be given grades several times throughout the semester.

Directions I will be available for help before and after school. Once you have it recorded I will help you download the video if needed. You will grade each individuals performance within your group. If problems arise come and visit with me. The Producer oversees the new cast and needs to take a leadership role.

Directions Producer needs to have access to all photos so he or she can apply those photos to i-movie. You can pass photos and information back and forth using a flashdrive, ing or sending it to me through the drop box. Save Pictures in i-photo so you access them in i- movie
