Session Goals Become familiar with the first activity of Module 1: Inventive Thinking Recognize the core skills that are taught and reinforced throughout the Ford PAS curriculum Strengthen knowledge of core skills and ways of thinking necessary for postsecondary education and the workplace Become familiar with the philosophy of teaching and learning fundamental to Ford PAS Explore the school/classroom culture and structures that support the Ford PAS pillars Reflect on your practice

What You Will Do in This Session Engage in Module 1, Activity 1: Inventive Thinking: -Watch a video and discuss the types and purposes of inventions used in the video -Work in teams to explore a possible invention Discuss the skills taught in the Inventive Thinking activity and explore how they relate to skills necessary for postsecondary education and the workplace Discuss instructional strategies that support skill building Reflect on the teaching and learning pillars of Ford PAS, the school/classroom culture and structure that support the teaching and learning, and your practice
