PBIS Purpose Statement for Witt-Birn High School The purpose of implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at Witt-Birn High School is to improve current attitudes and behaviors to support academic success and provide a climate with unified goals and expectations for all because our mission is to provide quality and creative educational experiences.

Behavior Purpose Statement Example The purpose of the PBIS “Trinity Traits” program is to establish and maintain a safe and effective school environment that maximizes the academic achievement and social- emotional-behavioral competence of ALL students.

How will your work help to accomplish your district mission?

Team Work Activity 1.On a post-it, each team member will write 3-5 words that you feel are key to describing the purpose of implementing PBIS at your school. 2. Stick each one on the center of the table. 3. As a team look for common words, themes, patterns. Organize. 4. Use the words, themes and patterns you find to write a collective Statement of Behavior Purpose that you can share with the rest of the staff for their review and reflection.
