Matthew Peoples 9E Mr Horner

While strolling along, one dark Winter’s night, I noticed that homes had filled up with light. The ground was frozen, the air was cold, I could feel that Winter was taking it’s hold.

I walked past trees, their arms were white, With snow that had fallen earlier that night. The sky was dark, and rather grey, The moon shone out, to brighten the way.

I continued to walk on the ice-covered ground, Where every step made a crisp crunching sound. A single star, like a diamond in the sky, Twinkled brightly as I plodded by.

The beauty of nature was all around, Covered in a white blanket, from the trees to the ground. Winter for us, is often wet and mean, And we rarely experience this magical scene.

I looked all around, not a soul in sight, Far in the distance, I could see our house light! I noticed that nature and I were alone, And I treaded with care as I made my way home.
