Offices and factories in the future. Now, IT has affected the offices and factories. Indeed, your work table is not the table in office. It should be the computer. It is hard to find an office where is not any computer now. Computer can store, communication and work, so it can release the office size. Should be many computers in the office in the future?

No! the office will be few computers in the office. It is because many people have computer at their home. Why not let them go to home to do their work.

The reason: Reduce time of people go to office Eliminate travel during unsafe weather conditions Disabled employees also can do their work Meeting can hold in the Internet

The advantage: Reduction in overhead More productive The disadvantage: Data will easily steal It is called Telecommuting ( 利用電腦終端的 )

There will be few people to work in the factories, because factories often do many similar work in general. So it will let computer to control machine. The reason: Reduce the salary People safe problem (avoid the dangerous work) The advantage: Increase the accuracy, quality Machine not needs rest The disadvantage: Increase the unemployment index Lost the flexibility

Electronic information dissemination. Now, people have many methods to disseminate the information in the Internet. The information can be a letter, sound, picture, file, etc.

is a non-immediately communication method. The content of the only will send to assigned users. The other user can not see the content. The information size often is not so big, because the server can not afford a big memory size to user. FTP (file transfer Protocol) is an effective method to let people access the large information. It is an access file from far-end computer system. The computer always is called “site”. It is very similar of two computer direct connecting. Now, many users always use FTP software to get their want. A site can set the user and the password. Further, it can set the file which user can assess and many function.

Effects of massive interactive communication. When the World Wide Web (WWW)is set up, the data was grown up to very quickly in the internet. Many searching tools help people to find data. It raises the massive data to transmit in the world. Similarly, it will have many good and bad effects.

Good effects: People can easily and quickly get many data which they need. The knowledge can grow up very quickly. Bad effects: People often get much useless information. Despite only few viruses in Internet, the computer also will easy to contact the virus. It is easily to miss many important data or be stolen the personal information. People easily offend the law, for example: copy some software, game, use some data which have copyright. Despite people didn’t know that it is crime. Many company lost their assets by the reason.
