Other Mental-Health Specialists Stephanie Garcia Period 1

Summary My section is about many different specialists that can help people with mental disorders. Also how some specialists work with specific types of problems. No matter what problem you have, there is always someone there to help you. It might be difficult to share your problems with someone, but you must face your problems to overcome them.

Main Idea The main idea is about the kinds of mental- health specialist there are.

Details There are different people that can help with different mental disorders. For example, occupational therapists help the mental ill become productive members of society by teaching them practical skills and, pastoral counselors are members of the religious community who have had practical training in counseling people with mental and social problems. Some specialists might also help with school or house problems like the school counselors.

Examples When I was little I was really bad at school. I would bully people and I would never do my homework. One day my mom took me to a counselor who could help me with my problems. After several weeks of help, I started doing my homework and I wouldn’t bully people any more.

Feeling and thoughts I think that my topic is important to the class because it help them know how specialist can help in whatever kinds of problems they have.

Conclusion My section was about the different kinds of mental-health specialists and how they are able to help people.
