.HCR is hotComm’s Native Recording Format

Recording is really very simple. You should perform the following best performance checks, first, prior to recording a session in a hotComm Room. 1—Do not be logged into another room while recording your session of choice. 2—Turn off your , instant messenger programs, and other applications to dedicate as many resources as possible for the recording.

Right click the Recording Icon to access the Setup Recording dialogue box. Put the bullet in.HCR Recording. Audio is checked by default. Check the other options that you want to record. The normal rooms have the following: 1.hotPointer 2.Transcript 3.Still Camera 4.Timed Camera Then Click OK to leave the Session Recording Setup.

Now you’re ready to record! Left click the Circle R to begin your recording. The icon turns to a blue background, indicating the recording is on and active. A Presenter will speak, as I am speaking. Other people may type into the room. There will be a hotCam window where a presenter is showing his charts, platform or PowerPoint Presentation Note that you need to have your hotCam Up and viewable on one of your monitors, or they will not update properly

Now, Left Click Your Circle R icon again to turn off the recording. Note that the background will no longer be blue Your recordings will be in your hotComm Transcripts Folder (there should be a desktop icon created for this when you installed hotComm)
