Here are photos of planes landing at Princess Juliana Airport on the island of St. Marteen Most people on the beach are very impressed by the planes flying over just seconds before touching down at the airport. Paradise for the beach lovers, having a lovely tropical beach, and for the aviation fanatics that spend hours on end observing the very low flying skills of the pilots of these giant commercial planes.

12 Boeing 747’s operate daily to St. Marteen! The heavy Jumbos are most impressive and attract the looks of everybody on the beach and nearby.

This is the view of the pilot in an Air France 747 as he approaches the island’s airport. The beach is right at the start of the runway.

So low that the belly of the 747 reflects in the deep blue sea of St. Marteen !
