Leave it to the professionals! How can you stay safe? Don’t try to buy fireworks. It’s against the law to buy fireworks, or even to carry them in public, if you are under 18 – so don’t. Leave it to the professionals!

Sparklers seem innocent enough but they can get can get incredibly hot – up to 1,500 degrees centigrade – so be careful. Wear gloves, and once they have gone out, drop them into a bucket of water. It’s safer than dropping them on the ground, and it makes a great hissing noise.
