Standards Students will learn about the materials –minerals and rocks –rocks that make up the planet’s surface, the natural origin of these materials, and how these materials are used to make common objects.

Learning Outcome I can describe characteristics of minerals. I can identify the three major groups of rocks and explain how they form via the rock cycle. I can explain how minerals and rocks are processed and list ways these materials are used.

Homework In the Reading and Note Taking Guide

Last 5 minutes of Class Clean up your desk and surrounding areas Quietly wait to be dismissed

Exit Ticket

Technology Finish up your Champions and Legacy Papers. Complete edits of each others papers. Then turn in to be reviewed. When complete draw a picture of your champion. Make sure it is nice and presentable.

Health and PE First 5 minutes students change for PE 5 students are team leads and select exercises/ stretches to do to warm-up. 20 minutes organized activity. Transition to outside play. 10 minutes before PE is over, students line up, walk up stairs and in groups of threes change back into their uniforms, clean themselves off and become presentable for their last class.

Health and PE First 5 minutes students have meditation and quiet reflection, (Classical or instrumental music may play).
