Membership and Mission Review Board There are currently 55 active Orange County advisory boards. Of those 55 advisory boards, 38 fall under the purview of the MMRB. The remaining boards are lake boards (appointed by the District Commissioner) and exempt boards that are “exempted” from the MMRB process. Appointments to the exempt boards are made directly by the Board of County Commissioners. There are currently 55 active Orange County advisory boards. Membership and Mission Review Board There are currently 365 volunteers serving on the advisory boards, giving an estimated 7200 hours of their time annually. In order to calculate an estimated value of the services these individuals have provided to the County, we asked Human Resources to come up with a median salary based on averaging all County pay ranges in the regular pay plan, and they came up with a figure of $21.42 per hour. That means these volunteers have provided more than $154,224 in free service to the County during the last year.
