Salient Features Salient features include: Registration of experts Classification of experts based on topical groups. Search experts based on topical groups, previous participation in ANSN activities, etc. Nominate experts to ANSN events Ask an expert Registration of experts: Pre-requisite: Should be registered in ANSN website as Level 1 user. Enter mandatory fields, particularly education details, employment details, work details, etc. Upload supporting documents like education certificates, professional achievements, etc. Select particular topical group(s) in which he can share his expertise. Declaration Upon registration, notification send to SC member (if expert belongs to ANSN member state) Upon approval by SC members, notification send to Technical Officer of IAEA to validate details of expert. Upon approval, expert is registered in pool of experts.

Salient Features Ask an expert: Level 2 users can seek advice from registered ANSN experts. Upon submitting query, automatic notifications will be send to registered experts with the query details. Upon reply from expert, notification will be send to the user who posted the query. Migration of experts from previous ANSN activities (2010 – till date) completed. Online nomination process of experts to be applied to national activities also.

Validation and evaluation by IAEA Technical Officer

Nomination process of experts Experts can be nominated to ANSN regional activities by the IAEA Technical Officer. Technical Officer can suggest experts or nominate experts from the pool of experts. Workflow: Technical Officer searches in the pool of experts for an appropriate expert. Technical Officer checks availability of experts (automatic notification) Expert indicates his availability online. Technical Officer nominates expert(s) depending on his availability. PMO approves the expert. Advantages: Facilitates Technical Officer’s search for experts in a particular topic. Transparency in the nomination process.

Role of national centre websites How national centre websites promote pool of experts module: Users from ANSN member states can benefit from the pool of experts by posting queries to the experts. How to integrate: addresses of experts (along with relevant topical group) can be shared with national centre websites via web services. National centre websites can provide an interface to post queries. Experts from ANSN member states can register themselves to become part of pool of experts. How to integrate: Migration of existing experts from national centre websites in centralised ANSN website. National centre websites can provide a guidelines to expert registration interface of centralised ANSN website.
