WGISS-19OGC Update 4 Updated Document Items Abstract Specifications –Topic 7 - Earth Imagery Version 5.0 Replaced previous material in Topic 7 with ISO , Reference Model Geographic Information Imagery. Version 5 of OGC Topic 7 is identical with ISO Working Draft #3. Topic 7 will be updated jointly with the progress of ISO Appendix A of Topic 7, version 4 contained a White Paper on Earth Image Geometry Models. That white paper is now separate OGC Recommendation document.

WGISS-19OGC Update 5 Updated Document Items Recommendation Papers –Sensor Model Language (SensorML) for In- situ and Remote Sensors (SensorML) The Sensor Model Language work proposes an XML schema for describing the geometric, dynamic, and observational characteristics of sensor types and instances.

WGISS-19OGC Update 6 New Discussion Papers Style Management Services for Emergency Mapping Symbology (SMS) OWS 2 Common Architecture: WSDL SOAP UDDI (WSDL/SOAP/UDDI) Web Image Classification Service (WICS) (WICS) Web 3D Service (Web3D) Web Processing Service (WPS) OGC Catalogue Services ebRIM (ISO/TS ) profile of CSW (CAT2 AP ebRIM) ISO19115/ISO19119 Application Profile for CSW 2.0 (CAT2 AP ISO19115/19)

WGISS-19OGC Update 7 New Discussion Papers Some image geometry models (Image Geometry) OWS1.2 Image Handling Design (Image Handling) OWS1.2 Image Handling Requirements (Image Handling Req) Geospatial Portal Reference Architecture (Portal Architecture) A URN namespace for the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) (URN)

WGISS-19OGC Update 8 Implementation Specs Pending electronic vote for approval New –OGC Web Services Common Specification –ISO19115/19119 Application Profile for CS 2.0 –GO (Geospatial Objects) 1.0 Updated –Web Map Context Documents –GML Implementation Specification –OLS (OpenLocation Services) 1.1 –WFS (WebFeature Server) 1.1 –FES (Filter Encoding Specification) 1.1

WGISS-19OGC Update 9 Status of GO-1 Specification Overview –Open standard defining a set of vendor-neutral, object- oriented geometric and geographic object abstractions for the GIS application space. –All sources (thick and thin clients) put GIS objects on a map through an OGC compliant API. –Allow applications to be visualization layer independent. –Minimize migration and vendor lock-in History –Summer 2002, OGC issues RFT –Jan 2003, GO-1 project gets underway –Sept 2004, standardization vote passes December, RWG produces version 0.0 January TC approves 1.0 for electronic vote
