Our Learning Issue: What are the different ways of dispersing seeds ?

Plants need to disperse seed There are many ways of dispersing seed We are going to explain the types of method to disperse seeds.

 Fruits suddenly split open  Throwing seeds at the same time  Throw seeds in all directions  Kinds of plants are peas and laburnum

 Some fruits are adapted to catching the wind  And also being blown away  Sycamore ‘helicopters’ and dandelion ‘clocks’

 Poppy seed heads, when dried up by the sun, have little holes  The holes are around their top  (like a pepper shaker)  These shake when windy  And lets out seeds  Number of seeds are let out

 Some fruits have little tiny hooks  Like burdocks and cleavers  These little hooks catch on passing animals.  If animals brush against the plant get carried away

 Lots of fruits are tasty to animals and also humans  Like apples, blackberries and gooseberries.  When an animal eats these fruits, the little seed are not digested and unharmed and also surrounded by fertilizer

 Casing of the fruit from trees land on the ground  Like horse chestnuts  The fruit then roll away from the tree

 What are two ways of dispersing seeds?  Answer: Drop and Roll, Animal Food,  Catching A Lift, Shakers,  and Splitting  ( two of any )

 What are the plants that disperse by the wind method ?  Answer : Sycamore ‘helicopters’ and dandelion  ‘clocks’

 Finish this sentence :  These little ______ catch on passing animals.  Answer : hooks

Thank you for your kind attention. GOODBYE !!
