He wants us set apart for His holy purposes (2 Timothy 2:21) We must not lose sight of God’s purpose for us in this world (Ephesians 1:4)

Do we want a “clean heart”? (Psalm 51:10) Are we properly motivated? –Desiring to go to heaven (Hebrews 12:14; 2 Peter 3:11-14) –Desiring to be like Christ (1 Peter 1:13-16) –Desiring to be a true child of God (2 Cor. 6:17—7:1; 1 John 3:2-3) –Desiring to be beautiful in God’s sight (Psalm 29:2)

Abound in love (1 Thessalonians 3:12- 13; Romans 13:10; 1 John 2:10) Put on the new man (Ephesians 4:22-24; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; 2 Timothy 2:21) Commit to being a slave of God (Romans 6:22; Exodus 21:5-6)
