GPA AND CREDITS GRADES BELOW 70 RECEIVE 0 POINTS IN YOUR GPA. IT IS LIKE TAKING A 0 IN YOUR AVERAGE FOR A CLASS- THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IS THAT THIS 0 IS PERMANENT! IF YOU FAIL A CLASS THEN YOU WILL MAKE UP THE CLASS BUT THE 0 STAYS IN YOUR AVERAGE. IT TAKES HIGH GRADES TO MAKE UP THOSE ZEROS. GPA IS CALCULATED AT THE END OF EACH SEMESTER. YOUR COLLEGE CLASSES ARE CALLED DUAL CREDIT AND COUNT TOWARD YOUR COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL GPA AND CREDIT FOR GRADUATION

GCISD Weighted Grading Scale * NOTE-DUAL COLLEGE CLASSES RECEIVE PAP WEIGHT. This weighted grading scale will be used starting in the school year.
